Even if some habits are shaped without our permission, but the good thing is that we can reshape them.

Have you ever planned of doing something, but later you realize you are not able to maintain doing it? You might have thought to quit smoking, but you convince yourself you are not able to do so. Or you might have tried to exercise every morning but later you realize you can not do it. However, each of them can be formed easily by forming new habits.

Habit is a behavior, action you take, or decision you make effortlessly. Habits are formed since brains are always look for ways of saving efforts. Each day you might make tens of decisions and you convince yourself that it is well considered decision, but it is not. It is habit which helped you make those decisions without making much effort.

Some habits are formed with no intension of building them, and some of them are deliberately designed by ourselves. Even if some habits are shaped without our permission, but the good thing is that we can reshape them. Moreover, habits are not our destiny since we can reshape habits once we realize them and find out they way of changing them.

Habits consist of three parts which are cue, routine, and rewards. If you decide to change a habit, first you must identify it. You also must accept the hard work it needs to form a new habit. To reshape a habit, you must discover the cues and rewards which drives the routine then finding best of alternatives to reshape the habit. To do something for the very first time you need lots of time and effort, however, it gets easier when you practice it over times until it becomes automatic.

We are the once who choose the way we want to be and the way we want to do something. Then as a human being you will grow the way you have chosen. “Once you understand habits can be change, you have the freedom and responsibility to remark them” (Charles Duhigg). Then as you understand the power of habit and the way you can change them. You will be able to change the old bad habits and generate new productive habits that help you save more time.
