Mind over matter is the power of mind that can make a person control the physical world around him/her. Throughout life, people experience and encounter many physical and mental states, including love, pain, addiction, pleasure, insecurity, happiness...etc.

“Whether you think you can or whether you think you can’t, your right.” — Henry Ford

By experiencing these states, they will learn how to respond to any changes that occur in their life. However, only a few of the responses are truly right because some people will decide emotionally. Mind over matter will teach us how to response smartly and accordingly by using the knowledge and power of our mind instead of our emotions.

If you believe you can do something, you can do it. If you think you are weak to take actions and do whatever you want, you cannot do it. This means whatever you think and believe in yourself, it is right for yourself and people around you. So, think about yourself as a machine that has the power to do anything.

How to practice - There are several ways to build up your willpower and practice mind over matter, such as overcoming past failures, visualizing, focusing, and changing habits. By ditching the idea of “last time I did not succeed, so next time I will not either”, you can build up your willpower. Just because you failed last time, does not mean you will fail again. Try to use your failure to motivate you and keeps you to get your goals.

• If you have failed one or two tests in one class, it does not mean you will fail the class and does not definitely mean that you cannot pass the class. Keep the hard working and use your failure to learn more, you will succeed and achieve what you want.

By visualizing yourself getting or achieving your goals, you can make your mind believe that you have achieved it.

• If you are in pain, you can visualize yourself with less pain and that will automatically help you to forget bout the pain.

By focusing on your goals and what you want to achieve, you can easily clear your path from any obstacles you encounter.
